Oceans

All during my stay in Tofino, BC, the sky had been cloudy. On the last evening at 7:30pm, the sun broke through. I quick drove to the beach and shot pix for about an hour. This and 091 are from Chesterman Beach just before sunset. I love this on the red paper. Different and unexpected.

The other shot from Chesterman Beach, this looks very different than 088 because that one was shot pointing into the sun and this one wasn't. Love the rocks and the splashes.

The only day I had set aside for the Oregon beaches on my latest trip turned out to be the only sunny day (out of 7) in Oregon. Perfect timing! This was taken near Oswald West State Park on the Oregon coast.

Also along the Oregon coast, this is one of the views from the lookout at Ecola State Park. Notice the little tiny waterfall on the very left edge of the picture.

This was the roiling sea all around the boat while I was out whale watching... OK, I must admit that it's simply the wake of the car ferry from Sidney, BC, to Anacortes, WA. But I love the many hues of teal and the different textures that are found throughout this picture.

Just thought these two pieces of kelp were interesting together. The deep orange paper enhances the orange one while subtly highlighting the orange tones in the larger brown one. I didn't touch anything - this is how the tide placed them.

The rocks and ocean contrast nicely, not to mention helping to splash the waves a little. :-) A nice scene in Pacific Grove.
